How much does it cost to get licensed?
It will cost roughly $250-$350 to get your life insurance license depending on your state. This will cover your pre-licensing course, your licensing exam, fingerprinting, and licensing application.
How do I get licensed?
Agents will need to get their life insurance licenses through their resident state. This will include taking a pre-licensing course, passing the state exam, completing fingerprints, & applying for their licenses.
Hawk Insurance Agency will guide you through this process if you need assistance.
How much can agents make in a month?
Agents are on an uncapped commission only pay structure, meaning you can make as much as you want or make nothing at all.
How do commissions work?
Agents are paid a commission percentage of the annualized premium, they are then given an advance of that (generally 75%) commission upfront & the rest in the last couple months of the year.
Example
Monthly premium= $100 x 12 months
Annualized premium = $1200
Commission level = 90%
$1200 x 90% = $1080
$1080 x 75% = $810
This opportunity will be a flexible schedule, you can work part-time or full-time depending on your commitment. However most agents work 6-10 hours daily to ensure they sell to there full potential.
Is this a remote position?
Agents are able to work from the comfort of their home office, you will need a quiet space with a laptop/desktop as well as a good internet connection.
